Margie has a Bachelor of Science degree in education and has worked with Dr. Schmakel for over 15 years. Margie’s titles include Program Administrator for The Vision Improvement Program and Sensory Learning Program. She also works with the children and adults in the two programs as a vision therapist and certified program specialist. Margie also has numerous responsibilities in the optometry office including billing and insurance filing and processing.

Marilyn graduated from Mary Manse College with degrees in both Education and Art. Always exhibiting her kind and caring nature and utilizing her artistic and creative abilities, Marilyn was a favorite elementary school teacher for over twenty years. In addition to her teaching position, she also has taught American Sign Language to both adults and children. In 1998, Marilyn joined the staff of The Vision Improvement Program. During this time, she has worked with over 100 children and young adults helping them to be able to succeed in school and life. Along with her position as a Vision Therapist, Marilyn has assisted with the marketing distribution for The Vision Improvement Program and clerical duties in Dr. Schmakel’s optometry office, Schmakel Eye Care.
